Maaneh Millinery is my expression of headwear as more than just fashion. It is where culture, craft, and individuality come together. I have always believed that a hat has the power to make a statement, evoke emotion, and transcend boundaries, allowing women to express themselves with confidence and grace.
I founded Maaneh Millinery in 2022, following an unexpected journey that began far from fashion. With a background in Systems and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University, my path was rooted in precision and logic. It was during my time in Louisville, home to the iconic Kentucky Derby, that I discovered the captivating world of millinery. What began as curiosity soon became a deep passion, leading me to explore the art of crafting headwear.
The name Maaneh, derived from Sanskrit, refers to a precious adornment, something that enhances one’s poise and presence. This idea sits at the heart of everything I create. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, blending unconventional materials with refined techniques to create designs that feel distinctive yet effortless.
I design with the belief that no two women are the same, and neither should their accessories be. Most of my creations are one of a kind or produced in very limited quantities, ensuring that every piece feels personal and unique. From bold statement millinery to refined everyday headwear, my collections are designed to move seamlessly across moods and moments.
Over time, I have had the privilege of creating over 1000 unique pieces for women across the world. I also feel truly grateful to have collaborated with talented stylists and individuals who are excelling in their fields, with features across publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Brides Today, and many more. Through Maaneh, I continue to honour traditional craftsmanship while reimagining it through a modern lens.
As a working mother to two beautiful daughters, I feel incredibly grateful to pursue my passion while raising them. Building Maaneh alongside motherhood has been one of my most fulfilling journeys, and it continues to shape the way I design, with intention, resilience, and heart.
Maaneh Millinery is, for me, more than headwear. It is a way of expressing identity, femininity, and timeless style.
